Bora Fitness is a personal training service aimed at helping people improve their fitness level and quality of life based in suburban Glencoe, IL. It is owned by NASM certified personal trainer Andrew Bora.
I started training with Andrew about 3 years ago. At the time, I wasn't sure whether having a personal trainer would be beneficial or not. I have always been fairly consistent with my workouts, but I have to say that I really never made much progress toward my goals. In some sense, I felt that I wasn't in good enough shape to deserve to have a personal trainer.
Andrew convinced me to come in for a workout, and my life changed for the better as a result of that experience. He was very patient with me. At first, he primarily used body weight exercises while I adjusted to the routine. I was sore the first couple of weeks while my body and my muscles made the adjustment to the new program.
Then I began to see results. One of the first things I noticed is that I had a lot more energy. After finishing my workout with Andrew, instead of feeling exhausted, I felt energized. I had a lot more energy at work, too. People began to notice.
Although a lot of attention was focused on my workouts in the gym, Andrew also gave me specific recommendations for my diet and asked me to keep a log of everything I ate. He also suggested that I eat 5 smaller meals per day instead of 3 larger ones. This along with a significant increase in the amount of protein in my diet really helped cut down on hunger pangs between meals.
By the time summer rolled around, I was in great shape! Andrew helped me train for my hiking trip in the Colorado Rockies (see the photo above), and I had an awesome time!
If you've never had a personal trainer, it is probably the best investment you could possibly make in your health and well being. When you feel and look good, everything else is just that much more fun!
If Andrew could make this much of an improvement in my fitness, he could do the same for you! I highly recommend him. You will not regret it!
